Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions efficiently using POS systems while maintaining 100% accuracy
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to resolve inquiries and complaints promptly
- Manage cash handling, returns, and exchanges per company policies
- Monitor checkout area for cleanliness and organize merchandise displays
- Collaborate with stock associates to maintain front-end inventory levels
- Support loss prevention efforts through vigilant monitoring of checkout procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months cashier or customer service experience preferred
- Basic math proficiency and cash handling skills
- Ability to operate POS systems and learn new technologies quickly
- Strong communication skills with a positive, approachable demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent required
