As a Barista at The Roasted Bean Collective, you will be the face of our brand. You will be responsible for creating an inviting atmosphere for our guests while crafting the perfect cup of coffee every time. We value creativity, reliability, and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso drinks, cold brews, and specialty drinks, adhering to strict quality standards.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a welcoming and positive experience for all guests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area, including the coffee bar, dining space, and restrooms, in compliance with health regulations.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently, processing transactions and handling cash with precision.
- Learn and demonstrate knowledge of our menu, brewing methods, and ingredient sourcing to answer customer questions with confidence.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth daily operations, including opening and closing duties and inventory management.
- Uphold the company's values of sustainability and community involvement in daily interactions.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is preferred, but a strong passion for coffee and willingness to learn are essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and friendly with customers and team members.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs safely.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and recipe measurements.
- A valid food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one upon hire.
