Responsibilities
- Safely walk multiple dogs simultaneously using proper leash techniques and handling methods
- Monitor pets for health and behavioral changes, documenting observations
- Administer basic care (feeding, hydration, medication as directed) during visits
- Maintain clean and organized equipment and transportation vehicles
- Provide real-time photo/video updates to pet owners via mobile app
- Adapt schedules to accommodate owner requests and pet needs
- Transport pets to vet appointments or parks when required
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable insured vehicle
- Current pet first/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk 5+ hours daily in varied terrain
- Excellent communication skills and smartphone proficiency
- Passion for animal welfare and understanding of breed-specific needs
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Clean background check and TB test required
