Responsibilities
- Safely walk and supervise multiple dogs in various Honolulu neighborhoods and parks
- Administer medications and provide basic pet care as needed
- Maintain detailed pet records and client communication logs
- Transport pets to veterinary appointments and grooming facilities
- Implement positive reinforcement training techniques during walks
- Monitor pet health and behavior, reporting any concerns promptly
- Coordinate with pet parents to schedule and confirm services
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional dog handling experience
- Valid Hawaii driver's license with clean driving record
- Red Cross Pet First Aid/CPR certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and walk 5+ miles daily
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior and breed characteristics
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Reliable transportation and smartphone with GPS
