Responsibilities
- Safely walk dogs in designated DC neighborhoods (Adams Morgan, Dupont, Georgetown)
- Provide real-time GPS tracking and photo/video updates to pet owners
- Administer basic care (feeding, medication, hydration) as requested
- Maintain detailed daily activity logs for each dog
- Uphold strict safety protocols during all walks and interactions
- Build rapport with clients through exceptional communication
- Participate in monthly pet care workshops and training sessions
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Reliable vehicle and smartphone with GPS capability
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk 3-4 hours daily
- Certification in pet first aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Passion for animal welfare and commitment to safety
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
