Responsibilities
- Conduct daily dog walks in and around the Columbus area, ensuring dogs receive adequate exercise and socialization.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment during walks, including waste removal and leash management.
- Monitor the physical condition of pets during visits and promptly report any health concerns or behavioral changes to the pet owner or management.
- Administer medication and dietary supplements according to specific instructions provided by pet parents.
- Ensure the security and safety of pets at all times while on duty.
- Greet clients warmly and provide excellent customer service regarding pet updates and feedback.
- Follow all company safety protocols and grooming standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in pet care or animal handling is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and reliable, insured transportation.
- Must pass a thorough background check and drug screening.
- Strong physical stamina, agility, and the ability to walk 2+ miles per day in various weather conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to ensure all routes are completed on schedule.
- Basic knowledge of dog behavior and safety protocols.
