Responsibilities
- Safely leash-walk dogs in residential and park areas of Arlington
- Provide feeding, hydration, and waste cleanup services
- Monitor pets' behavior and report health concerns to owners
- Maintain detailed activity logs for each client visit
- Adapt walking routes based on weather, pet needs, and owner preferences
- Administer basic medication when authorized by pet owners
- Build trustful relationships with both pets and their owners
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong understanding of dog behavior and handling techniques
- Ability to work independently with excellent time management
- CPR/First Aid certification for pets (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to walk multiple dogs in varying weather conditions
