Responsibilities
- Conduct Daily Walks: Safely walk and exercise dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring they remain on-leash and under supervision at all times.
- Animal Handling: Comfortably handle dogs with different temperaments, ensuring their safety and preventing any behavioral issues during walks.
- Client Communication: Provide detailed updates to pet parents via our app or text, including photos of the walk and notes on the dog's behavior.
- Pet Hygiene: Clean up after pets immediately, ensuring the environment remains sanitary for both the animals and the public.
- Medication Administration: Administer oral medications and supplements to dogs as directed by the owner or veterinarian, strictly adhering to instructions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of feeding, walking, and medication schedules in our management system.
- Safety Checks: Ensure the home and yard are secure before and after every visit to guarantee the pet's safety.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience as a dog walker, pet sitter, or in a similar animal care role is highly preferred.
- Licensure: A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to walk 1-2 miles per day, handle dogs up to 80lbs, and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, trustworthy, and able to commit to a consistent schedule.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Passion: Genuine love for dogs and a patient, calm demeanor.
