Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, teas, and smoothies, according to standard recipes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workspace, including espresso machines, counters, and seating areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Greet customers with a friendly smile, take accurate orders, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently, handle cash transactions accurately, and process credit/debit card payments.
- Restock supplies such as cups, lids, milk, syrups, and pastries to ensure the store is fully operational throughout the shift.
- Clean and sanitize equipment daily to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and preparing the store for business hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso machines, and latte art is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (2-4 hours at a time) and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
