Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso, drip coffee, and specialty beverages using provided commercial equipment
- Engage customers with product knowledge and personalized recommendations
- Maintain immaculate cleanliness of espresso machines, brewing stations, and service areas
- Operate POS systems accurately and handle cash transactions
- Collaborate with team to develop seasonal drink specials and promotions
- Source and showcase local artisanal ingredients and pastries
- Participate in daily inventory management and restocking of supplies
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional barista experience with espresso machines
- Knowledge of coffee brewing methods (pour-over, French press, etc.)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment during peak hours
- Exceptional customer service with a warm, approachable demeanor
- Basic food safety certification (ServSafe preferred)
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing practices
- Must provide own black/white non-slip footwear
