Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms leveraging machine learning for complex system optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing hybrid AI-quantum computing architectures
- Conduct pioneering research in quantum neural networks and error correction protocols
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.) and present at global tech conferences
- Secure and manage $1M+ in annual R&D grants from federal and private sources
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation through quarterly hackathons
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and ML frameworks
- Experience with 100+ qubit quantum processors and superconducting systems
- Strong background in computational complexity theory and quantum information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF, DoE, DARPA)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for NP-hard computational challenges
