Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical risk assessment protocols for AI systems
- Conduct interdisciplinary research on bias mitigation in machine learning models
- Develop governance frameworks for autonomous decision-making systems
- Partner with product teams to embed ethical considerations into the AI development lifecycle
- Author white papers and industry standards on AI accountability
- Lead cross-functional working groups on emerging ethical challenges in AI
- Advocate for responsible AI adoption in public and private sectors
Qualifications
- PhD in Philosophy, Computer Science, Ethics, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience considered)
- Proven track record in AI ethics research or governance frameworks
- Expertise in bias detection algorithms and fairness metrics
- Strong background in policy analysis and regulatory landscapes
- Experience with responsible AI frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST RMF)
- Exceptional written communication for technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of emerging AI technologies (LLMs, generative AI, autonomous systems)
