Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments during overnight shifts
- Administer medications and injections per physician orders
- Perform diagnostic tests including EKGs, phlebotomy, and lab processing
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Respond to patient calls and emergencies following protocols
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment between patients
- Coordinate with day-shift teams for seamless patient care continuity
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- BLS certification (must maintain current)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision overnight
- Flexibility to work weekends and variable night shift hours
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
