We are seeking passionate, detail-oriented individuals to join our dynamic front-of-house team in the heart of Indianapolis. As a Server at The Gilded Fork, you will be the face of our brand, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued. We pride ourselves on our culinary excellence and premium dining atmosphere, and we are looking for team members who share our commitment to hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests warmly, ensuring they feel comfortable and welcomed immediately.
- Present menus and answer detailed questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and menu specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our POS system and relay them to the kitchen staff.
- Deliver food and drinks to tables with precision and timing, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or requests promptly.
- Clean and reset tables efficiently to prepare them for the next service cycle.
- Process payments accurately and handle cash or card transactions securely.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Server, Waiter, or Waitress (preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates).
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to engage in conversation with diverse guests.
- Familiarity with POS systems (Point of Sale) is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of food safety and alcohol service regulations.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
