- Oversee daily circulation operations including advanced interlibrary loan management and specialized cataloging
- Lead digital literacy initiatives and technology training sessions for diverse community groups
- Manage archival collections with emphasis on Alaskan historical preservation
- Coordinate outreach programs with underserved populations including multilingual services
- Mentor junior staff and implement process improvements for resource optimization
- Develop strategic partnerships with local educational institutions and cultural organizations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Library Science or Information Management (MLS/MLIS preferred)
- 3+ years of progressive library experience with demonstrated supervisory skills
- Advanced proficiency in integrated library systems (ILS) and metadata standards
- Proven ability to manage complex digital archives and special collections
- Experience developing culturally responsive community outreach programs
- Strong budget management skills with procurement and vendor negotiation expertise
