Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patron assistance with material retrieval, reference inquiries, and technology support
- Manage circulation operations including check-in/out, fines processing, and account maintenance
- Organize and maintain library collections through shelving, inventory, and preservation techniques
- Support program coordination for community events, workshops, and literacy initiatives
- Operate integrated library systems (ILS) and troubleshoot digital resources
- Conduct outreach to promote library services and expand community partnerships
- Assist with interlibrary loan and resource sharing across the network
Qualifications
- High school diploma with 1+ years library experience or equivalent education
- Proficiency with integrated library systems (e.g., Sierra, Millennium)
- Strong interpersonal skills serving diverse populations
- Basic cataloging principles and MARC record understanding
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and navigate multi-story facilities
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency highly preferred
- Valid California Driver's License for outreach duties
- Experience with public computer troubleshooting
