Responsibilities
- Manage complex patron interactions including research assistance, digital literacy support, and specialized reference services
- Oversee circulation operations, inventory management, and interlibrary loan systems
- Develop and implement community outreach programs targeting underserved populations
- Train and mentor junior staff on library systems and service protocols
- Curate and maintain specialized collections with focus on local history and cultural resources
- Analyze usage data to inform service improvements and resource allocation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on digital transformation initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years progressive library experience with demonstrated leadership
- Advanced proficiency in integrated library systems (ILS) and metadata management
- Expertise in reference services, reader's advisory, and information literacy instruction
- Experience developing community partnerships and grant-funded programs
- Ability to analyze complex data and implement evidence-based solutions
- Certification in digital accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) or equivalent experience
- Fluency in Spanish or another commonly spoken language in the community
