Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional virtual and in-person reference services via phone, email, and chat platforms
- Manage digital resources including e-books, databases, and online learning tools
- Assist patrons with catalog searches, research support, and technology troubleshooting
- Coordinate virtual library programming and community outreach initiatives
- Maintain accurate patron records and circulation systems in integrated library software
- Collaborate with team members on collection development and digital preservation projects
- Support remote learning initiatives through virtual tutoring and information literacy workshops
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Library Science or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years library experience with demonstrated remote service capabilities
- Proficiency with integrated library systems (ILS) and digital resource platforms
- Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt to virtual and in-person interactions
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in digital and physical environments
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation for occasional site visits
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) certification highly desirable
- Experience with virtual meeting tools and digital accessibility standards
