Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service at service desks, assisting patrons with book circulation, research, and technology questions
- Organize and maintain library collections, including shelving, inventory, and material processing
- Facilitate engaging programs and workshops for diverse age groups, from storytimes to tech tutorials
- Manage digital resources, including e-books, databases, and online learning platforms
- Support library outreach initiatives, including mobile services and community partnerships
- Maintain accurate records and assist with circulation system operations
- Contribute to a safe, accessible, and welcoming library environment for all patrons
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; library science coursework or preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience with demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with basic library systems (ILS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for material handling
- Comfortable teaching basic technology concepts to diverse audiences
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
- Valid Minnesota driver's license (for outreach roles if applicable)
