Responsibilities
- Develop and publish annual '2026 Futurescape' reports mapping technological, economic, and social megatrends
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype solutions for 2026 challenges (e.g., climate adaptation, neural interfaces)
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic labs (MIT, Stanford) and government entities (DARPA, NSF)
- Design and implement horizon-scanning frameworks using AI-driven trend analysis and scenario planning
- Translate foresight insights into product roadmaps for quantum-resistant cryptography and AI ethics systems
- Present strategic briefings to the board and executive team on emerging risks and opportunities
- Mentor a team of junior futurists and innovation analysts
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record in developing long-term technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Cross-Impact Matrix) and scenario modeling tools
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI, and climate tech
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications (e.g., Nature Futures)
- Experience securing $5M+ innovation grants from government or private foundations
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and trend analysis platforms
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex futures to diverse stakeholders
