Responsibilities
- Provide safe, attentive dog walking and pet sitting services across Detroit metro area
- Utilize our mobile app for real-time scheduling, GPS tracking, and client communication
- Administer medications, feed pets, and maintain detailed care logs remotely
- Transport pets to vet appointments and grooming sessions (mileage reimbursed)
- Execute emergency protocols and coordinate with veterinary partners when needed
- Develop personalized care plans based on pet behavior and owner preferences
- Participate in monthly virtual training sessions and best practice workshops
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional dog handling experience
- Valid driver's license with clean record and reliable vehicle
- Red Cross Pet First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior, breeds, and handling techniques
- Exceptional time management and remote communication skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining client confidentiality
- Availability for weekday/evening walks and weekend coverage
