Responsibilities
- Safely Walk and Exercise: Walk dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring physical exercise and mental stimulation according to individual needs.
- Administer Medication: Carefully administer prescribed medications and supplements to pets in accordance with owner instructions.
- Maintain Hygiene: Clean up waste immediately to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for all pets.
- Client Communication: Provide daily updates, photos, and detailed reports to pet owners via our client portal.
- Route Management: Plan efficient walking routes and ensure all equipment (leashes, waste bags) is maintained and ready for use.
- Emergency Response: React calmly and effectively in case of unexpected pet behavior or minor emergencies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional dog walking or pet sitting experience.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, trustworthy, and able to adhere to strict schedules.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to walk 2-4 miles per day and handle dogs of varying weights and energy levels.
- First Aid: Certification in Pet CPR and First Aid is preferred (training provided if not certified).
- Driver's License: Valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check to ensure the safety of our clients' pets.
