Responsibilities
- Execute high-volume, error-free transactions while maintaining 98%+ accuracy
- Lead customer engagement through personalized service and upselling techniques
- Train and mentor junior cashiers on POS systems and company protocols
- Resolve payment discrepancies and complex customer issues with diplomacy
- Monitor cash drawer reconciliation and report discrepancies immediately
- Support store operations through inventory counts and merchandising assistance
- Uphold strict security protocols for cash handling and fraud prevention
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years cashier experience with proven accuracy record
- Expertise in modern POS systems (Square, Shopify POS, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills with conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to handle high-pressure peak periods while maintaining composure
- Strong attention to detail with numerical aptitude
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Valid New York State driver's license (for potential store transfers)
- Basic math proficiency and cash handling certification preferred
