Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Ring up customer purchases accurately and efficiently using our Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions regarding products, and resolve any concerns with a friendly demeanor.
- Cash Handling: Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring the cash drawer balances at the end of every shift.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assistance: Help customers locate items in the store and provide information on store policies.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Skills: Basic math skills and the ability to operate a POS system.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable attitude.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
