The Role

Responsibilities
- Lead Research: Drive the core research agenda for our 2026 roadmap, focusing on reinforcement learning, multimodal learning, and neural-symbolic integration.
- Model Development: Design, train, and fine-tune state-of-the-art deep learning models capable of complex reasoning and autonomous decision-making.
- Prototyping: Rapidly prototype new algorithms and architectures, moving concepts from whiteboard to proof-of-concept with minimal friction.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior researchers and data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product teams to translate research capabilities into user-facing features and tools.
- Publication: Contribute to top-tier academic conferences and publish seminal papers in the field of AI.
- Ethics & Safety: Implement rigorous safety protocols and alignment techniques to ensure AI systems operate within ethical boundaries.
Qualifications
- Education: PhD or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field with a focus on AI/ML.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in deep learning, NLP, or computer vision, or equivalent postdoctoral research experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX. Strong understanding of distributed computing systems and GPU optimization.
- Research: Proven track record of publishing at venues like NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, or ACL.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to tackle open-ended, ambiguous problems and devise novel solutions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Creativity: A visionary mindset with the ability to think several steps ahead in model evolution.
