Apex Visual Systems is revolutionizing digital storytelling through immersive 2D animation and motion graphics. We are seeking a visionary Senior 2D Motion Designer to join our elite creative team in San Francisco. In this role, you will bridge the gap between static design and dynamic storytelling, creating high-fidelity motion content that drives user engagement and brand loyalty.
You will work closely with art directors, developers, and product managers to bring concepts to life across web, mobile, and social platforms. If you have an eye for detail, a passion for fluid animation, and a deep understanding of timing and motion physics, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and execute high-end 2D motion graphics and animations for digital campaigns, product interfaces, and promotional videos.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate creative briefs into technical motion designs.
- Optimize animations for performance, ensuring smooth playback across various devices and browsers.
- Create storyboards and animatics to visualize complex sequences before final production.
- Maintain and expand our library of custom assets, icons, and motion templates.
- Provide mentorship and feedback to junior designers to elevate the overall quality of the creative output.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in 2D motion design, motion graphics, or animation.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Premiere Pro.
- Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and animation libraries (GSAP, Lottie).
- A robust portfolio demonstrating a range of styles, from character animation to UI motion.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate creative decisions to stakeholders.
- Experience with 3D rendering software (Cinema 4D or Blender) is a plus.
