Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Welcome customers warmly, assess their needs, and provide expert recommendations on our extensive range of outdoor equipment and apparel.
- Store Operations: Maintain a pristine sales floor, ensuring merchandise is organized, displayed attractively, and fully stocked throughout the shift.
- Point of Sale (POS): Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system, handling returns and exchanges with a customer-first approach.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, restock shelves, and assist in inventory counts to ensure product availability.
- Equipment Handling: Demonstrate proper usage of equipment samples and handle product demos to educate potential buyers.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with management and colleagues to achieve sales targets and store goals.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in retail is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Technical: Basic computer literacy and comfort with POS systems.
- Passion: Genuine interest in outdoor activities, camping, hiking, or sports equipment is highly desirable.
