Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, processing cash, credit, and debit transactions efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding product locations, prices, and store policies.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting store environment.
- Handle returns and exchanges according to company policy.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure inventory stock levels are sufficient.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new POS software quickly.
