Responsibilities
- Beverage Preparation: Expertly brew espresso drinks, teas, and cold beverages, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
- Customer Engagement: Deliver world-class customer service, answering questions, taking orders, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Point of Sale (POS): Operate our modern POS system efficiently, handling transactions and digital orders with accuracy.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a pristine, organized workspace, including espresso machine maintenance, cleaning, and restocking supplies.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels for coffee, milk, and pastries, alerting management when reordering is needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1+ years of experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
- Skills: Knowledge of espresso extraction, milk steaming, and basic latte art techniques.
- Digital Savvy: Comfortable using technology and apps; experience with POS systems is a plus.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Remote Mindset: Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with the team, even in a hybrid setting.
