Responsibilities
- Expertly prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages while maintaining exceptional quality standards
- Engage customers with warm, knowledgeable service about coffee origins and brewing techniques
- Manage inventory ordering and scheduling remotely using our digital platform
- Maintain pristine cafe cleanliness and equipment maintenance protocols
- Collaborate with team members to develop seasonal drink innovations
- Handle digital customer inquiries and social media engagement from home
- Participate in monthly virtual training sessions on coffee trends
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional barista experience with espresso machine proficiency
- Strong remote work capabilities with reliable home internet setup
- Exceptional customer service skills and conflict resolution abilities
- Basic knowledge of coffee bean varieties and brewing methods
- Proficiency with scheduling software and digital inventory tools
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends/holidays
- Food Handler's Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager preferred
