Job Description
Join Nexus Quantum Labs at the forefront of computational revolution. We're pioneering quantum algorithms that will redefine technology by 2026. As a Quantum Computing Researcher, you'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and disrupt industries from pharmaceuticals to finance. Our state-of-the-art facility in San Francisco offers unparalleled resources for experimental quantum research.
We value intellectual curiosity as much as technical prowess. You'll lead breakthrough projects in quantum error correction and topological qubits while mentoring the next generation of quantum scientists. Your work will directly impact our roadmap for achieving quantum advantage by 2026.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubit platforms
- Develop error mitigation techniques to advance fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional teams on quantum principles
- Contribute to quantum security protocols for next-generation encryption standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong publication record in quantum information science
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms (Shor, Grover, VQE, QAOA)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
