Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm experiments using superconducting qubit platforms
- Develop novel error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into practical quantum applications
- Author breakthrough research papers for Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Optimize quantum machine learning models for real-world industrial applications
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Present findings at international quantum computing conferences (QIP, IEEE QCE)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development with superconducting qubits
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning and variational algorithms
- Strong track record of securing government research funding
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers in quantum systems
