Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to hybridize classical-quantum computing pipelines
- Publish research in Nature Physics/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and secure $5M+ in DARPA/NIST grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit design or QIS frameworks
- Published research in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Proficiency in Python, Qiskit, or Cirq for quantum simulations
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
