Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and industry conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure federal and private research grants totaling $5M+ annually
- Develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity protocols for enterprise clients
- Collaborate with academia (Stanford, MIT) and government labs (DARPA, NASA)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm design and quantum error correction
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or other quantum programming frameworks
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Experience securing government research grants (SBIR, NSF)
- Ability to work with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware (D-Wave, IBM Q)
