Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation on hybrid quantum-classical computing platforms
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and top-tier conferences
- Develop error mitigation strategies for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Secure $1M+ in government/industry grants for exploratory projects
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdocs in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity analysis
- Proficiency with high-performance computing clusters and GPU acceleration
- Experience with quantum hardware interfaces (QASM, Pulse Control)
- Strong track record of interdisciplinary collaboration
