Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead hardware-software co-development initiatives with quantum chip manufacturers
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Mentor PhD interns and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $500K+ in DARPA/NSF grants for experimental quantum projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with IBM/Qiskit or Cirq
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and low-level quantum assembly languages
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware and superconducting circuits
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum data analysis
