Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-corrected quantum processors
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world problem solving
- Secure $5M+ in government/private research grants annually
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers quarterly in top-tier journals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with Intel/IBM on quantum hardware integration
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026 graduates encouraged)
- 3+ years experience with Qiskit/Cirq frameworks and quantum circuit optimization
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological computing
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with low-level hardware programming skills
- Demonstrated grant-writing success for quantum computing initiatives
- Experience with superconducting/photonic quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
