Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead research on quantum error correction techniques for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit architectures
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Secure $2M+ in research grants and partnerships with quantum hardware providers
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional quantum innovation workshops
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proficiency with NISQ-era hardware constraints and optimization techniques
- Strong background in computational complexity theory
- Proven track record of translating theoretical concepts into commercial prototypes
- Experience securing government or corporate research funding
