Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Lead research in quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computation
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning models for predictive analytics
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Publish research in Nature, Science, or IEEE journals with 2+ annual publications
- Secure $500k+ in annual research grants from government and private sources
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing curriculum development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit optimization
- Published peer-reviewed research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with experience in high-performance computing environments
