Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for practical applications in drug discovery and financial modeling
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and AI specialists
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $1M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with IBM, Google, and Microsoft on quantum cloud integration
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with superconducting qubits or ion traps
- Published work in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters (HPC)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
