Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction techniques to enhance quantum system stability and scalability
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum processor performance
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical research into practical quantum applications
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage research funding through government grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or similar)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published record in quantum computing research (arXiv, Nature, Science)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Proven ability to secure research funding (NSF, DoE, or equivalent)
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
