Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into practical applications
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at global quantum conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from government and private entities
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum methodologies
- Collaborate with hardware teams to validate theoretical frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Proven ability to secure research funding ($500k+ preferred)
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
