Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning algorithms for 2026-era data challenges
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy benchmarks using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations at 10mK temperatures
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent disclosures for breakthrough methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and computational complexity
- Secure federal and private funding through NSF and DoD grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit simulation or hardware
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum libraries (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and topological protection
- Experience with low-temperature measurement systems and RF control
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental protocols
