Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols to overcome quantum decoherence challenges
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit designs for next-generation processors
- Lead research initiatives exploring quantum applications in cryptography and cybersecurity
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through competitive grant applications and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the quantum computing community's growth
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Proven track record of developing quantum algorithms with practical applications
- Experience with quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Strong publication record in quantum computing research
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business applications
- Experience securing research grants or industry partnerships
