Responsibilities
Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applicationsLead research on fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures targeting 2026 deployment milestonesCollaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworksPublish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and present at major international conferencesMentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiativesSecure federal and private research funding through compelling proposalsDrive cross-functional projects with AI/ML and cybersecurity divisions
Qualifications
PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of industry research experienceProven expertise in quantum algorithm development (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)Strong publication record in Nature/Science/Physical Review journalsProficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)Experience with quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architecturesDeep understanding of quantum-classical hybrid computing paradigmsAbility to secure competitive research funding (NSF, DoE, DARPA)Exceptional problem-solving skills for NP-hard computational challenges
