Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence and error correction
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects targeting quantum advantage in cryptography and AI
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Develop quantum software tools for industry applications
- Stay current with emerging quantum standards and ethical frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Published research in quantum computing or adjacent fields
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, AWS Braket)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts to practical applications
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
