Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Lead research projects on quantum machine learning and neural networks
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional technical teams
- Secure $2M+ in annual R&D funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum computing frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical applications
