Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in machine learning and cryptography
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error-corrected qubit systems using superconducting and photonic technologies
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and quantum neural networks
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science) and present at international conferences
- Secure federal grants (DARPA, NSF) and industry partnerships for quantum R&D
- Mentor PhD interns and cross-functional teams in quantum programming frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit optimization
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in high-performance computing (HPC) and parallel processing architectures
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong track record of securing research funding ($500k+)
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders
