Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for 2026-scale optimization problems
- Design fault-tolerant quantum circuits using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with NASA on quantum-resistant cryptography protocols
- Publish top-tier research in Nature/Science journals
- Manage $2M+ annual research budget and vendor partnerships
- Mentor 5+ PhD researchers in quantum machine learning
- Develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum gate-level programming (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum annealing systems (D-Wave Advantage)
- Strong background in computational complexity theory
- Track record of securing NSF/DoD quantum grants
- Experience mentoring quantum research teams
