Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics, finance, and drug discovery
- Lead research initiatives in topological qubit stabilization and quantum error correction
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for enterprise applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF quantum initiatives
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 5+ years experience with quantum algorithm development on real quantum hardware
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 3 first-author papers)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Proven track record of securing government research grants
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary technical teams of 10+ researchers
